2005 CMW Mustang Football Game Summaries

Game # 1  September 9th      Recap     Defeated 46-7 by Rising Sun Tigers

  • 1st Quarter:  The Mustangs started off strong by scoring the first touchdown of the game by Jeremy Rice. Jesse Volk kicked the PAT. But Rising Sun was fierce to come back and score a touchdown off the kickoff. Making the score at the end of the first quarter 7-7.
  • 2nd Quarter: Unable to score, the Mustangs suffered 3 touchdowns made against them. One of the PAT's we blocked, one was successful and the other PAT was missed. At the the end of the 2nd quarter the score stood at 27-7, Mustangs trailing by 20.
  • 3rd Quarter: The game came to a standstill and the Mustangs only allowed one touchdown to be scored on their defense. This happened at the 8:36 mark. The score at that time was 33-7.
  • 4th Quarter: At 6:29 there was a 19 yard gain by Rising Suns Fullback scoring the touchdown. Rising Sun made one more stomp on the Mustangs efforts and scored a touchdown in the last 20 seconds of the game. The final score was 46-7.
